It’s great to be a Hawkeye!  And that’s especially true here at the Official Iowa Hawk Shop.  We are owned and operated by The University of Iowa and are proud to be an integral part of Iowa Athletics, the U of I community and Hawkeye tradition.

The Official Iowa Hawk Shop was founded in 1981, thanks in part to Hayden Fry’s successful rebuilding of the Iowa football program.  The Hawks made their first bowl trip in nearly two decades to the 1981 Rose Bowl, and the Official Iowa Hawk Shop has played a big part of helping Iowa fans express their love for the Hawkeyes ever since.

Catering to alumnus, students, and fans of all ages, The Official Iowa Hawk Shop is the nation’s premier retailer of Hawkeye apparel and merchandise.  Often imitated but never duplicated, the Hawk Shop has grown substantially over the years.  The main retail store is located on 1225 S. Gilbert St. Iowa City, Iowa.  The University Book Store, currently located in the Old Capitol Mall in downtown Iowa Cit, offers a full selection of Iowa Hawkeye apparel and gifts.   Kiosks at Kinnick Stadium and Carver-Hawkeye Arena supply merchandise during sporting events.

The first Official Iowa Hawk Shop flyer was printed in 1981.  It has been published every year since and has grown into a catalog that features hundreds of Hawkeye products.  In 1997, the online store was launched, giving Hawkeye fans another venue to access an extensive line of Hawkeye products.  Our online store features thousands of products, including all items from the print catalog as well as new items added throughout the year.  All online and catalog orders are received, packaged and shipped to your doorstep from the warehouse in Iowa City. The Hawk Shop ships orders to all 50 states as well as internationally to thousands of Hawkeye fans annually.
